The Wells Fargo Championship is a standard professional PGA Tour stroke play event, with players competing for a prize purse of $20 million. Play lasts for four days – Thursday through Sunday – with a cut enforced after Friday, designed to cull the stragglers in the field. Those that make the cut will stay and compete during the following two days.
