Tournament Structure for the Canadian Open
As with all PGA Tour events, play starts on a Thursday and finishes on a Sunday. On each of the four days of play, the golfers involved are required to play through 18 holes, aggregating an under-par score in the process. If you are unfamiliar with the term “par”, check out our guide to golfing terms here.
After two days have been played, a cut is introduced to reduce the size of the field, with any players that fall underneath that line having to exit the tournament. Those that have a higher score and are above the line💝 will have made the cut and carry on i♔nto the two days of the weekend.
By the end of play on Sunday, the player at the top of leaderboard is the golfer with the lowest complete tournament below-par score. This can sometimes end i🌳n more than one player finishing with the same score, in which case a playoff will be contested by the tied players in order to find a winner.

Popular Canadian Open Betting Markets
Betting on golf is as good as sports betting gets, due to the sheer amount of markets to be found. In addition, the size of the field means that you can get good value prices even on the world’s best players. There are many golf betting markets for an event such as this, and below we have highlighted some of the best available for the Canadian Open.
Outright Winner Betting
The outright winner allows you to bet on the golfer that you believe will emerge victorious after four days. Of course, this 🐷will be the player that finishes the tournament with the lowest below-par score. All you need to do is click on the odds next to the player you think will win. This will send you to yo𓂃ur betting slip, where you can enter your stake and place your bet.
Best Canadian Open betting site for Outright Winner: Paddy Power
Top 10 Finish Betting
With this bet, you will be wagering on a golfer to do well – enough to finish in the top ten. While not an outright ܫvictory, this is still a very good achievement in golf because of the size of the field. Plus, golf does tend to offer the best value odds compared to other sports.

Make or Miss the Cut Betting
In golf, a cut is used to slice the field in half after two days' play. It is not uncomm🎀on for lower-ranked golfers t📖o make the cut, which would pay well due to the unexpected nature of the outcome. Likewise, it is also possible for one of the world’s top players to miss the cut, again at high odds.
